During my seven hour layover in Frankfurt, I’ve decided that American outlets are far more aesthetically pleasing than the European counterpart. The giant holes in the wall make it look unfinished…
My body is telling me that it is in fact 2 AM, but all of the clocks are trying to convince me that it is actually 11 AM. So forgive me if my first blog post (ever) about my trip to India is erratic and disorganized. I’m happy to have not seen a Starbucks yet… Case in point?
My flight from Seattle was lovely. Lufthansa knows how to treat a dumb American, even when flying economy. My accelerated German course that I completed my final summer quarter at UW allowed me to pick up on a few words, and confirmed that I didn’t take the course to retain the language; only to fulfill a requirement. I was lucky enough to have an aisle seat, which meant I was able to get a consecutive 10 minutes of sleep before someone kicked, bumped or asked me if I wanted more whiskey (Ja, bitte). Maybe I’m being a little hard on myself about the retention thing. It was nearly five years ago…
My next flight leaves in roughly four hours and is shorter than the first (8 hours instead of 9). I feel your pain baby who cries on every flight. I really do. For now, I’m going to enjoy walking while it is still an option. More to come soon!
